Please open your Religion book to p. 48.
Please make the Sign of the Cross and pray the 'We Gather' prayer near the top of the page.
I'll bet you can think of a situation yesterday in which you needed help.
Maybe you helped someone else.
If so, what did you do?
In this lesson you will learn about the importance of choices that people make, especially those that draw them closer to God.
Please read the 'We Believe' statement on page 48, and then read the first 'We Believe' paragraph. The choices made now affect our friendship with God.
It is a matter of making good choices and, with God's help, we will be with him forever in Heaven.
Now, please read the Scripture passage and the paragraphs following.
When we help someone in need, whom are we helping?
What will happen to those who choose not to care for others?
Each choice makes a difference.
Jesus will always weigh or judge our choices, not only with justice, but also with love and mercy. Christ is a forgiving, loving friend who judges us according to God's way, not solely by human standards.
