WELCOME TO READING CLASS!
Because we are starting a new schedule this week, we will be changing the timing of our tests accordingly. Typically, we have the Vocabulary and Comprehension tests for Reading on Mondays. However, we will have completed enough work and review by the end of this week, that we will be able to take the tests on Friday, and begin a fresh story the following Monday.
If you have any questions, just let me know!
Now, let's jump in!
The story we will study this week is entitled, "The Journey; A Story of Migration."
Please open your Journeys textbook to page 237, and read the introductory information regarding our story.
When you are ready to have the story read to you, turn to page 239 and click below on the title of the story. (The recording will download to your computer.)
As you listen to the story this first time, please read along silently.
UP NEXT:
As we have always done in the classroom, I would like you to take the time to write your Vocabulary words and definitions. The act of writing them out helps commit the information to memory. Also, the careful and purposeful act of writing each definition helps us to betterunderstand the meaning of the vocabulary word.
