WELCOME TO MRS. ESLER'S 8th GRADE CLASS!
Hard to believe we are already in the 3rd quarter. 8th graders are preparing for their Sacrament of Confirmation. Students have chosen a sponsor and a Saint. Most have completed their letter to their sponsor and their Saint report.
8th History & Literature: In history we are finsihing up Ellis Island and moving forward with the Gilded Age and will soon be studying WWI. In literature we've been studying several African American authors but will end the quarter with a unit on famous Aftican Americans and their contributions to the United States.
7th Literature: We are finishing up a unit with comical stories, some true and some fictional. We will complete the quarter with a unit on African Americans and their contributions to the United States.
6th Social Studies: We are reading about the Greeks. What a fun unit. We are currently talking about Odysseus and the Trojan War.
We will be celbrating Catholic Schools week the week of Feb. 7th due to a few snow days which means our OPEN HOUSE will be Thursday, February 10th from 6-8 pm. If you know anyone who is interestd in visiting our school, send them our way!
