MORNING WORK: This is just like the morning work we've been doing, only I didn't cut your pages into half sheets. Please edit ONLY the FIRST paragraph in the article titled A Strong Heart that you’ll find in your packet (please don’t work too far ahead – do one day at a time like in class!). FIND 7 MISTAKES: 3 capitals, 2 commas, 1 period, 1 spelling. On the back of the page, rewrite today's math problems neatly and with the numbers carefully lined up. (Leave room on the back for tomorrow’s math problems!)

MATH: Try to do XtraMath! Today's work will be a review of telling time. Complete both sides of the page in your packet with the big clock on it. Count by 5s to fill in the minutes around the big clock to help you with both sides of the page. You can find the clock we’ve been using in the classroom to help you here. <---- click!

SPELLING: Our spelling pattern this week is words that end with -ly and -ful.
Find our list under the “spelling” tab on the left of my Web site (it’s also in your Reader’s Notebook, but the “challenge words will only appear on my Web site). Read the words and look at the pattern, then complete pages 112 and 115 in your Journeys Reader’s Notebook. PLEASE DO NOT TEAR THE PAGES OUT.

READING: This week we are reading The Goat in the Rug. Find our vocabulary words for this story on pages 274-275 in our Journeys reading text book. Read the sentences. Think about what each vocabulary word means. Complete the vocabulary cut-and-paste page that was in your packet just like at school and TURN IT IN by e-mailing me a picture or a scan!
