  The Green Team is now part of every grade. The  purpose of the 'team' is to encourage school participation in "GREEN SCHOOL" qualifications, to be an active participant in fulfilling those requirements, look for ways that St. Joan of Arc can be more friendly to our environment and create crafts out of recycled materials.
  
  We all understand that the best reward is continued 'Green School' status from the state of Michigan. Every year we've earned EVERGREEN status; the top level possible; accomplished by the number of Earth Friendly things SJA did. Many of this years Green School points have already been achieved.
  Our job is far from finished- we need to maintain our level of success each year. St. Joan of Arc is a forerunner in Green School efforts, many news worthy events are yet to come!
  
  We have held an Electronic Recycling collection event every spring.  Those monies have gone toward purchasing containers for the school and parish to use for recycling cans and plastic bottles. These containers can be used at athletic events, the festival, and other SJA events. We have purchased many occupancy sensors for the school, church and Family Youth Center. We want to be a Green Campus not just a Green School.
