ENGLISH/WRITING
WELCOME TO ENGLISH/WRITING!
Today we will work with Commas in Addresses. We have learned to separate the nouns or verbs in a series with commas, but commas are also used to separate each part of an address.
Please open your Journeys Workbook to page 107. Please read through the information and example at the top of page 107. When you comfortably understand where the commas belong in an address, please complete #1 - #6 on page 107 by adding commas where they are needed.
-----------------------
NEXT, we will work with Sentence Fragments. We have worked with sentence fragments in the past, so this will seem more like a review.
Please open your Journeys Workbook to page 110. The Workbook lists a number of fragments or 'parts' of sentences. Your task is to select and write the group of words which will complete each sentence so that the sentence tells who or what, and tells an action or state of being.
For numbers 5 and 6 on page 110, you will need to combine the sentence fragments to write a complete setence.
