ENGLISH/WRITING
WELCOME TO ENGLISH/WRITING!
As we move toward writing our first 'Narrative,' we will work with some traits of narrative writing. Today we will focus on Organization / Time-Order Words.
Please open your Journeys Workbook to page 61.
This is a fun exercise! :) As your textbook states, Writers use transition words, or time-order words, to organize their writing and to show when events happen.
You are presented with a paragraph on p. 61 which is in need of some time-order phrases. After reading through the paragraph, please go back and fill in the phrase from the box on p. 61 which best completes each sentence.
Great!

NEXT: Please turn to page 68 in your Journeys workbook. We will now learn about commas and when they should be used in writing.
Please read the information in the box at the top of page 68.
Using this information, please rewrite sentences #1 - 4 with a comma where it belongs in a date or a place. --------------------------------------
